A café façade that brings the charm of an old Damascus house to Jumeirah — rose-pink stucco, blue arched shutters and a glazed steel terrace wrapped in bougainvillea.
THE BRIEF
The brief was to create a building that people recognise instantly and want to photograph. A two-storey stucco frontage in soft pink, with deep blue shutters and arched windows, recalls the traditional houses of the Levant.
At street level, a black steel and glass pavilion extends the café into a year-round terrace, framed by flowering planting. The contrast between heritage-inspired façade and modern pavilion gives Kahwat Azmi a strong, memorable identity on the boulevard.
